We, the citizens of this country, members of social movements and civil society will be coming together on 10th of December (International Human Rights Day) at Parliament Street from 10:30 onwards. Jashn-e-Samvidhan: Celebration of Dissent and Resistance, 70 Years of International Human Rights will be a celebration of the spirit of our Constitution, the struggles of the people of the nation and the reasserting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Over 3000 citizens including people belonging to various social movements will be attending. National level social movement representatives, lawyers, students and community leaders like Medha Patkar, Prashant Bhushan, Kawalpreet Kaur, Aruna Roy and Bezwada Wilson amongst others will be addressing the crowd.
Justice A.P Shah and Justice Kurien Joseph will also address the gathered and add to the spirit of Jashn-e-Samvidhan while Vinay and Charul, RELAA, Ashok Pandey and Manu Kohli amongst others will sing, recite and perform songs and poems of resistance.
