New Delhi, May 10 (LAB) The Supreme Court Collegium today approved the proposal for the appointment of 9 Additional Judges of the Madras High Court as permanent Judges.
In a notification issued, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting approved the proposal for the appointment of 9 Additional Judges of the Madras High Court. These include:
- Justice Govindarajulu Chandrasekharan
- Justice Veerasamy Sivagananam
- Justice Ganesan Illangovan
- Justice Ananthi Subramanian
- Justice Kannammal Shanmuga Sundaram
- Justice Sathi Kumar Sukumara Kurup
- Justice Murali Shankar Kuppuraju
- Justice Manjula Ramaraju Nalliah
- Justice Thamilselvi T Valayapalayam
The Apex Court recommended that Justice A.A Nakkiran will be appointed as Additional Judge of the Madras High Court for a fresh term of year with effect from December 3, 2022
The Collegium comprising of five top-most judges of the Apex Court and was headed by Chief Justice (CJI) N.V. Ramana. The other four Judges of the Collegium included Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar, Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud, and L. Nageswara Rao. LAB/SNG/
