Centre appoints 11 Advocates as Additional Judges to the Punjab and Haryana High Court

New Delhi, Aug 15 (LAB) The Union Ministry of Law and Justice today notified the appointment of 11 lawyers as Additional Judges to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

According to an official notification published on the website of the Department of Law and Justice on Sunday, The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the names of 11 lawyers for appointment as Additional Judges on July 25, 2022, which are now appointed.

The Advocates appointed are- Nidhi Gupta, Sanjay Vashisth, Tribhuvan Dahiya, Namit Kumar, Harkesh Manuja, Aman Chaudhary, Naresh Singh, Harsh Bunger, Jagmohan Bansal, Deepak Manchanda, and Alok Jain.

The High Court of Punjab and Haryana has a sanctioned strength of 85 judges. As per the data on August 1, 2022, the High Court currently has a strength of 46 judges and a vacancy of 39./LAB/SNG/
