Highlights of Speech of Rahul Gandhi at Narayanpet, Telangana today

Highlights of Speech of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at Narayanpet, Telangana, on Oct 27, 2022

Addressing the public meeting, Shri Rahul Gandhi said that on the stage, senior leaders of the Congress party, Congress workers, brothers and sisters, our friends of the press, you are all very welcome here, Namaskar.

For a few days, we are going on India Jodo Yatra, this journey is leaving from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and now Telangana and it will stop in Kashmir. The goal of the yatra is to stand up against the hatred, the violence that is being spread in India and fight the hatred.

There is a government of Narendra Modi ji in Delhi and here in Telangana, there is a government of KCR. Whatever bill Narendra Modi wanted to pass in the Lok Sabha, TRS used to give him full support. Regarding the three laws against black farmers, TRS gave them full support and we brought a resolution against the law in the assembly which TRS did not support.

So here I want to say clearly, for us TRS and BJP are one and the same thing. These are two parts of the same coin and they both work together, this is something you need to understand. They help each other. TRS helps them in Delhi and BJP helps them in Telangana and both parties are against democracy. They do politics of money, work to buy MLAs, work to topple the government and perhaps the most corrupt government of the country is in Telangana today.

Wherever they can steal, they steal. Miyapur land scam worth 15 thousand crores. Corruption was done in the Kaleshwaram project and till now that project is not over in Telangana I am talking to the farmers and all the farmers of Telangana are saying that what BJP does at the centre, TRS does it here.

Brothers and sisters, these are not two political parties, they are businesses. The job of both of them is to rob the public of money and they do not do anything. Today corruption is the highest in Telangana and in the country and unemployment is increasing, increasing, increasing. Narendra Modi did demonetisation, implemented the wrong GST and broke the backbone of India, the backbone of employment generation.

Brothers and sisters, the country is given employment by small traders, and people running small and medium businesses. Demonetisation and GST have shut down lakhs of small traders, and small and medium businesses. Today the condition is that no matter the country, no matter Telangana, employment cannot be given. This is the reality of India and Telangana unemployment on one side and inflation on the other. Petrol prices and diesel prices go up. A gas cylinder used to cost Rs 400, Modi Ji used to complain, today it has become worth a thousand rupees, and Modi ji does not say a word. The people of Telangana get crushed between unemployment and inflation. To raise these issues, we have started Bharat Jodo Yatra and from this morning you have given your power, and your love to this journey.

Walking 3,500 km is not an easy task. But you made the job easy by giving your power. It goes on for 7-8 hours, it is not even known. So I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You have given so much power to this journey that now this bus will stop in Kashmir. Thanks a lot.

Jai Hind ! Hello !
