New Delhi, May 11 (LAB) Accomplished Advocate Murari Tiwari elected chairman, Bar Council of Delhi unanimously. The Election was held on May 6, 2022.
Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) is a Statutory Body constituted under the Advocates Act, 1961 has its elections every year. Being a pleasing personality, Mr Murari Tiwari, who has dedicated his life to the welfare of his fellow lawyers was elected as the Chairman unanimously for the term 2022-23.
Mr. Murari Tiwari is a law graduate from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, and joined the bar in the year 1991. He was elected as General Secretary, Campus Law Centre Student’s Union, the University of Delhi in the year 1989. He was elected as the Additional Secretary, Delhi Bar Association, Tis Hazari Court in the year 1999 for consecutive terms.
First time in the year 2003, Mr. Tiwari contested the election of Bar Council of Delhi and was elected as Member. Since then, Mr. Tiwari has been a member of the Bar Council of Delhi for 3 consecutive terms.
He was also elected as the Hony. Secretary, Bar Council of Delhi for two terms in the year 2010 and 2012 respectively.
He has been performing his responsibilities in the Bar Council of Delhi in various other capacities like Enrolment Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Indigent and Disabled Lawyers Committee, etc.
He is a popular leader among lawyers and is committed to the welfare and betterment of the legal fraternity./LAB/SNG/
